ABOUT MAGNOLIAS OF EUTAWVILLE

A family-centered approach to
senior care.

Magnolias of Eutawville is the newest member of a family of communities built on one belief: growing older shouldn’t mean losing your say in how you live.

our story

It began with family.

For the Lockwood family, caring for seniors is more than a profession. It is a responsibility shaped by over four decades of experience supporting older adults and the families who love them.

Throughout those years, one principle has remained constant: some of the most meaningful differences begin with the simplest gestures.

Listening carefully. Remembering how someone likes their coffee. Sitting together on the front porch. Preparing a familiar meal. Offering reassurance during a difficult moment. Taking the time to learn the story behind the person receiving care.

That’s the thinking that shaped this community from its first blueprint, right down to where we chose to build it.

We picked land surrounded by working farmland on purpose. Residents can watch horses and goats graze from the dining room, hear a rooster most mornings, and feel like they’ve landed somewhere real, not manufactured.

Magnolias of Eutawville opened its doors and held its ribbon-cutting on November 27, 2025, the latest chapter in a much older story.

Our approach to care

If it’s not good enough for Grandma, it’s not good enough.

Our family-centered approach can be seen throughout everyday life at Magnolias of Eutawville.

It’s reflected in how warmly new residents are welcomed, how team members communicate with families, and how support is personalized around each resident’s plan of care.

It’s why we provide assistance with daily needs while continuing to encourage independence and personal choice.

It’s why our dining experience centers on familiar Southern cooking and meals that remind residents of the Sunday dinners once prepared by their mothers and grandmothers.

It’s why activities are shaped around companionship, enjoyment, and opportunities to remain engaged.

LIFE AT MAGNOLIAS OF EUTAWVILLE

What that means here at Magnolias of Eutawville.

Our values aren’t printed on a wall somewhere, they show up in an afternoon spent watching Cherry and Pie from the porch, in a family arriving unannounced for lunch, in a resident choosing exactly how involved they want to be that day.

Support shows up the moment it’s needed and steps back the rest of the time. Independence stays with the resident; we simply make sure it’s never unsupported.

Our philosophy

Care rooted in dignity, not routine.

Our mission is straightforward, even if living it out takes real effort every day: help older adults hold onto their independence, their dignity, and their enjoyment of life.

That belief shapes our meals, our activities, our safety practices, and how often families hear from us.

Every resident deserves to be spoken to, supported, and cared for with patience and respect. We recognize the life experience, personal values, and individuality each person brings to our community.

Care follows each resident’s own needs and preferences for medication, bathing, dressing, meals, housekeeping, and laundry.

Shared meals, family visits, and community events give residents genuine relationships, not just scheduled interactions.

Round-the-clock nursing, emergency call systems, and secure entry, working quietly in the background.

Receiving assistance should not mean losing control over everyday life. We encourage residents to make choices, participate in familiar routines, and do as much as they comfortably can for themselves.

Moving somewhere new is a big adjustment. Our team works to bring calm and familiarity to it.

Residents are encouraged to take part in activities that reflect their interests and abilities. Whether joining a group activity, attending a spiritual service, helping with a familiar task, or enjoying a quiet conversation, meaningful engagement can take many forms.

Weekly sing-alongs, Bible studies, and visiting chaplains help residents stay connected to what matters to them spiritually.

PERSONALIZED CARE

Thoughtful support that changes with you.

A resident’s needs may evolve over time. Our responsibility is to remain attentive, communicate clearly, and adjust support when appropriate.

Each resident’s care begins with an understanding of their abilities, routines, preferences, and everyday needs. From there, our team provides support according to an individualized plan of care.

We also work alongside families, healthcare providers, home health professionals, hospice teams, social services, chaplains, and other trusted community partners when additional assistance or coordination is appropriate.

How it works

Individual understanding

We begin by learning about the resident—not only their care needs, but also their routines, preferences, interests, personality, and family relationships.

Personalized planning

Support is shaped around the resident’s individual plan of care, including the assistance they need with daily routines, medication, meals, personal care, and engagement.

Ongoing attention

Team members remain attentive to changes in the resident’s comfort, abilities, routines, and wellbeing so that concerns can be communicated and addressed.

Family communication

Families are an important part of the care relationship. Our team and management work to keep them informed and involved when decisions or adjustments are needed.

Why it matters

Consistent, familiar support

Receiving assistance from a team that understands the resident’s needs and preferences can make everyday routines feel more comfortable and reassuring.

Whole-person care

Good support considers physical needs alongside emotional wellbeing, relationships, personal choices, spiritual life, and meaningful engagement.

Continued independence

The right level of assistance can help residents remain involved in everyday life and continue doing what they can safely manage for themselves.

Greater peace of mind

Clear communication and an attentive care team help families feel more confident that their loved one is supported.

LOOKING AHEAD

A place to feel at home today and supported tomorrow.

Needs shift over time, sometimes gradually and sometimes overnight. Our job is to notice early, communicate honestly, and adjust before a small concern becomes a large one.

We begin by learning who a resident actually is; their habits, their history, what a good day looks like to them, and build a plan of care from there, revisiting it as circumstances change.

When more support is called for, our RN Administrator coordinates directly with families, our in-house medical providers, and outside home health, hospice, or chaplain partners.

PERSONALIZED CARE

Experience matters. Relationships matter more.

Magnolias of Eutawville is supported by a team committed to compassionate care, clear communication, and meaningful relationships with residents and families.

Experience and training are important, but what matters most is how those qualities shape everyday life:

A familiar face when reassurance is needed.
A team member who remembers a resident’s preferences.
A thoughtful conversation with a concerned family member.
Patient support that protects dignity and encourages independence.
A culture in which residents are treated with the same compassion we would want for our own mothers and fathers.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

A network of service, faith, and connection.

Caring well for older adults almost always takes more than one team.

Magnolias of Eutawville brings in trusted outside partners whenever a resident’s needs call for it — social workers, chaplains, home health agencies, and hospice organizations among them.

These relationships mean families aren’t left to arrange extra care alone, and residents stay connected to support beyond what any single on-site team could offer.

Residents can remain connected to personal faith and spiritual practices through chapel space, chaplain relationships, and community involvement.
Therapy services may be available through community partners, helping residents access appropriate support while remaining in familiar surroundings.
When residents require additional clinical or comfort-focused services, our team can work alongside trusted home health and hospice providers.
Relationships with local organizations and service providers help connect residents and families with additional guidance and support.
